Elected as Judge!

New Orleans, I am humbled and honored to be YOUR next Judge of Criminal District Court, Section J.

Your votes, support, and volunteer efforts proved the people of New Orleans want a judge who sees the humanity of every individual who has their day in court. I will continue to take a holistic approach with justice impacted people who come into court, helping them to further their education and reach career goals. I’m grateful my experience and courtroom record earned your vote.

I look forward to delivering firm and fair justice for all New Orleanians. Thank you!

-Judge John T. Fuller

FIRM. FAIR. EXPERIENCED.

Judge John T. Fuller was elected to the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court, Section J bench on May 16, 2026 and sworn in on May 27, 2026. He is a respected New Orleans attorney with over 24 years of legal experience, known for handling complex, high-stakes criminal cases. Throughout his career, he has handled thousands of cases across Orleans Parish and throughout Louisiana, giving him a well-rounded and practical understanding of the criminal justice system.

In recognition of his experience and professionalism, John was nominated by the Louisiana Supreme Court to serve as a Judge Pro Tempore in Orleans Parish Criminal District Court— demonstrating the trust placed in him by the state’s highest court. Unfortunately, he was unable to accept the appointment at the time.

John believes in being tough AND humane. He holds individuals accountable for their actions while helping them chart a better path. As a defense attorney, many of his clients went on to have successful businesses or further their education.

He wants people who come into court under extremely stressful circumstances to understand the process, and know what to expect.

I live in a town called Plaquemine LA. A very corrupt town. A town where every black man is guilty in the eyes of the judicial system. A system that is ran by certain families, and a whole lot of unfairness and corruption and injustice. My nephew was arrested on a murder charge here in Plaquemine. He told his mother that he wanted John Fuller & Associates to represent him on this charge. His, mother went and retained John Fuller as his attorney. Living in a town such as Plaquemine, and knowing how corrupted the system and town is. John Fuller came to Plaquemine and he represented my nephew. He let my nephew decide his faith. When I say my Family are forever grateful and Thankful to the Fuller Law Firm. It gave me great pleasure to hear, officials in Plaquemine saying Fuller is the best.
